Flavor Flav may not be invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding yet, but he is still hopeful. While attending the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, the rapper shared that he has not received a wedding invitation from the pop star or the NFL player. Still, he says there are no hard feelings at all. He made it clear that he supports the couple and would happily attend if he got a last-minute invite.
“No, I didn’t get an invite to the wedding. I ain’t expect one. You know what I’m saying? The whole nine,” Flav tells PEOPLE. “But they know they got my blessings and if she invites me, you dig? All right. I’m going. King Swiftie going to be at the wedding.”
Flavor Flav has been a longtime fan of Taylor Swift and is well known among her fans as “King Swiftie.” He admired her music long before meeting her in person. The two later crossed paths at major music events, and Flav even attended several stops on her Eras Tour. At one show, Swift gave him a special shout-out, which meant a lot to him.
Flav has often spoken about how much he respects Swift’s talent and impact on music. He believes she is one of the most important artists of her generation and says her concerts are so powerful they feel like earthquakes. He also once joked that he would even be willing to officiate her wedding if needed.
Even without an invite, Flav says he wishes Taylor and Travis nothing but happiness. He remains proud to support her and the Swiftie community, whether he is at the wedding or cheering from afar.
