Pop icon Taylor Swift recently skipped Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders via Page Six.
The pop star was not publicly spotted at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada, where the Chiefs faced a devastating loss in their last game of the 2025 NFL season. The Chiefs were previously knocked out of the playoffs on December 14th when they lost to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Swift decided to skip her fiancé’s away games this season, reportedly due to security concerns, but was able to cheer him on at many of his home games at Arrowhead Stadium surrounded by her family and friends. She last supported Kelce at his Christmas Day game when the Chiefs played the Denver Broncos.
The Grammy winner was seen nervously biting her nails in the final moments of the game before the Chiefs ultimately lost.
Before that, she was front and center to support her man as the Chiefs took on the Los Angeles Chargers on December 18th. She was seen adorably holding one of Kylie Kelce and Jason Kelce’s daughters while in a suite.
Sunday’s game could mark the last time the tight end plays in the Chiefs’ regular season as rumors of his retirement amp up. The NFL star fueled retirement speculation further when he made an emotional statement about the team’s loss on his “New Heights” podcast.
“Chiefs Kingdom, we’re gonna give you everything we got,” Kelce, told podcast listeners of the remaining season on the December 17th episode.
“There’s no question about that.”
“If we’re gonna go out there and play some football, we’re gonna do it the right way and, keep trying to get these things fixed and end on the highest note that we can.”
Despite his obvious passion for the game, insiders told Page Six that the athlete is planning not only to retire but also to pursue a new career in Hollywood. Earlier this year, he starred in Adam Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore 2” and hosted the TV show “Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?” for Amazon.
An industry source mentioned that Kelce’s popularity would significantly benefit his Hollywood endeavors.
