Pop icon Taylor Swift’s father recently had to go under the knife for a heart procedure. It has come to light that she was by his side in the hospital. However, now he’s feeling fantastic, as per TMZ.
The singer’s spokesperson informed TMZ that Scott Swift underwent quintuple bypass surgery over a month ago. His wife, Andrea, and their children, Taylor and Austin, were with him throughout the entire surgery and recovery process. Taylor’s representative also confirmed that the procedure was not the result of a heart attack and that he is feeling great.
Scott, who has been married to Taylor’s mother, Andrea, for 37 years, originally went in for a routine check-up. During the examination, the doctor discovered an issue that necessitated the surgery.
Quintuple bypass surgery is a complex procedure used to treat patients with blockages in the major arteries supplying the heart. In this surgery, blood vessels are taken from another part of the body and transplanted to the affected heart vessels. This reroutes blood flow and bypasses the blockages.
At 73 years old, Taylor’s dad is recovering well, and fortunately, most people experience strong recoveries from quintuple bypass surgery. Scott is a great example of this!
