Taylor Swift has talked about how hard she had to train to handle the extreme physical demands of her record-breaking Eras Tour. The 36-year-old performed nearly three-and-a-half-hour shows across the world, with 149 concerts between March 2023 and December 2024. Each show included a massive 44-song setlist that covered different stages of her music career.
The long and energetic performances pushed her body to the limit. She admitted that after some shows, she could “barely lift my arms or walk.” . At times, the concerts felt like something she simply had to survive rather than enjoy.
To keep going, Taylor focused heavily on endurance training with the help of her personal trainer, Kirk Myers. Fans got a behind-the-scenes look at her preparation in a Disney+ documentary series that followed the tour. The training showed just how intense her routine had become.
Taylor explained that her previous tours were much shorter, so performing for over three hours was a huge challenge. She said she often ran several miles during each show while moving across giant stadium stages.
She also had to change her lifestyle and push herself much harder physically. Although she joked about hating some exercises, the training helped make her stronger and allowed her to finish one of the biggest tours in music history.
