The pair first connected after Travis admitted on the podcast in July 2023 that he had failed to give Taylor his number via a friendship bracelet at her Eras Tour show in Missouri. When they eventually met, they quickly hit it off, with Taylor saying the start of their romance felt like something she had been writing about in her songs since her teenage years.
They discussed a range of topics, including their first meeting, traveling together during the Eras Tour, Taylor’s work to reclaim her first six albums, and an update on her father’s quintuple bypass surgery earlier this year. Taylor also announced the release date, cover art, and tracklist for her new album The Life of a Showgirl, which she described as a behind-the-scenes look at her life during the Eras Tour. She said she feels just as proud of this album as she does of the tour itself, promising fans something special.
