The Twilight star, 33, wrote on his Instagram Stories, “It’s a cruel world full of hate out there.” He added that no one should feel the need to make everyone happy. “It still hurts, but it helps to focus on what really matters,” he said. He ended his message by reminding people to be kind, saying, “You are beautiful inside and out… let’s all be a little nicer.”
Gomez, 32, has been criticized for both weight gain and weight loss. She has lupus, a condition that causes changes in her weight. She has spoken before about how her health issues made people judge her body even more.
Lautner has also faced body image struggles. After Twilight, people commented on his body, which hurt his mental health. On his podcast The Squeeze, he said he had to learn that happiness doesn’t come from how your body looks but from taking care of your mind first.
