Arnold Schwarzenegger recently had kind words for Miley Cyrus while appearing on the June 23 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Reflecting on when his son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, dated the pop star nearly a decade ago, Arnold praised Miley as a talented and kind person.
He recalled how she joined the family on a ski trip and made a great impression as a houseguest, saying the whole family loved having her around. When asked about the downsides of their relationship, Arnold said there were none and that Miley was fun and easy to be around. He added that he was simply sorry the relationship didn’t work out.
Patrick and Miley dated from November 2014 to April 2015, often being seen together at events like a pre-Grammy party and a USC football game, where Patrick was studying. A source at the time said they split amicably because they were at different points in their lives Patrick was in college, while Miley was focused on her music career.
Since then, both have moved on. Miley was previously married to actor Liam Hemsworth and is now dating musician Maxx Morando. Patrick has been in a relationship with model Abby Champion since 2015, and the couple got engaged in December 2023. They are set to get married in September 2025, as Arnold confirmed during the interview.
