It’s been years since Radiohead last released a studio album, and even longer since the band hit the road together.
But now, an unexpected encounter between a fan and guitarist Jonny Greenwood has ignited whispers across the internet…
Could Radiohead finally be gearing up for a 2025 reunion?
And is Jonny—known for being the most elusive member—hinting at something big?
One woman, attending a live event where Jonny Greenwood was present, got close enough to catch a few golden words from the guitarist himself.
She wrote on Reddit: “I heard him tell someone they’re trying to “break out something” if I remember the term correctly. He said it with a smile. Not sure if I heard another specific question about the tour. Tried speaking to him myself but lovely people got in our way and then he had to leave.”
For the past couple of years, fans of Radiohead have had to settle for offshoot projects like The Smile, Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke’s experimental trio with drummer Tom Skinner.
And while that group has its own brilliance, it’s not Radiohead.
So when Jonny’s casual comment ruled out The Smile, people started connecting the dots.
As reported by Resident Advisor, allegedly four tickets to a “Radiohead concert of your choice” have been donated by a company called, Blueyed Pictures to a Los Angeles fire relief auction, run by Palisades High School.
The outlet also reported that, a close source to Radiohead had confirmed to them that, Thom Yorke and co have “placed holds in select European cities for a run of residency gigs this autumn”.
But a spokesperson for Radiohead has since confirmed that, Blueyed Pictures does not manage the band and has no affiliation with them. The original Radiohead listing has also now been removed, replaced by a generic offer of “four premier concert tickets” instead.
