Prince William and Kate Middleton ‘Reunited’ at Naughty Party, Book Says
A new royal biography has claimed Prince William and Kate Middleton rekindled their relationship during a themed house party in 2007, after a brief split. The account, attributed to royal editor Mr Russell Myers, revisits a key moment in the couple’s early years and suggests the night helped put their romance back on track before their 2011 wedding.
Fox News reported that Myers wrote the pair reconnected at a “Freakin’ Naughty” fancy-dress party hosted by their friend Mr Sam Waley-Cohen at his family’s 17th-century manor in Oxfordshire.
In the book, Myers describes the future Prince and Princess of Wales arriving in attention-grabbing costumes and then stepping away from other guests to talk privately for hours. He wrote that William spoke about his fears around commitment and the pressures of royal life, while Catherine was said to have been clear about needing certainty and support if they were to move forward together.
Myers also details how the couple took a secret holiday to the Seychelles two months later and, he claims, William promised Kate she was “the only person” he could see himself spending the rest of his life with. As the Prince and Princess of Wales have navigated public scrutiny since, their approach to family life has remained a focus of continuing interest, including reports that Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship has remained strained despite periodic talk of reconciliation.
The biography adds to a long-running public record of fascination with the couple’s courtship, and it underscores how their relationship was shaped by both personal choices and the realities of royal duty. Kensington Palace was reported to have been contacted for comment, while Buckingham Palace has previously said it does not comment on such books.
