Prince William Quizzed on Epstein Links in Riyadh
Prince William was challenged by a broadcast reporter in Riyadh as he continued a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, with questions directed at the Royal Family’s handling of allegations linked to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Jeffrey Epstein. The moment came during an engagement at a sports ground while the Prince of Wales carried out meetings aimed at strengthening UK-Saudi ties.
During the outing, Hello Magazine reported that the journalist asked twice: “Sir, to what extent do you think the royal family has done enough around the Andrew and Epstein issue?”, and that Prince William did not respond.
The live blog said it was unclear whether the Prince of Wales heard the questions clearly, as he was some distance away from the reporter at the time. The exchange took place as Prince William met locals and students during his Riyadh itinerary.
The questioning follows recent scrutiny around the wider family’s response to Epstein-related disclosures, including Prince William and Princess Kate issuing a statement on the Epstein scandal in earlier coverage.
Prince William’s visit continues with further engagements scheduled in Saudi Arabia as part of his official programme, while the wider Royal Household faces ongoing attention over how it addresses issues connected to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s past links to Epstein.
