Expert Says William Can’t Stand Prince Andrew
Prince William has been described as having a deeply strained relationship with his uncle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, as fresh coverage revisits how senior royals are responding to the scandal surrounding the King’s younger brother. The claims were made in a new interview discussing whether Andrew’s arrest represents one of the most serious threats to the monarchy in modern times.
Discussing the issue on the Pierce vs Maguire podcast, journalist Mr Andrew Pierce said Prince William “hates” Prince Andrew and would act “brutal” in protecting the institution if he becomes King, the Express reported.
In the same conversation, Mr Pierce argued the controversy is doing “huge damage” to the Royal Family and suggested decisive action could follow in a future reign. The report also notes police searches at properties linked to Andrew after he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and later released under investigation by Thames Valley Police.
The comments add to wider reporting about how the Prince of Wales and other senior royals are navigating the fallout, with Prince William and Princess Kate publicly supporting King Charles following the arrest as the Palace faces sustained scrutiny.
Andrew has repeatedly denied wrongdoing relating to his links with Jeffrey Epstein, and he has not publicly commented on the arrest. Any longer-term changes to Andrew’s position in the royal line of succession would require legislation and agreement across the UK and other realms, meaning the legal process and official decisions are likely to continue unfolding over the coming weeks.
