Prince Edward ‘Quietly’ Supports Prince Andrew, Report Says
Prince Andrew is said to be receiving discreet family support as senior royals privately express concerns about how he is coping with increased isolation, according to a new report published on Thursday. The claims suggest some members of the Royal Family are checking on the Duke of York’s wellbeing even as leading figures maintain a public distance amid ongoing controversy.
Reality Tea reported that a source claimed Prince Edward has taken on a more active role in supporting his older brother, including an alleged Easter visit to Andrew alongside Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, to check in on his state of mind.
The report, citing RadarOnline, quoted an unnamed insider as saying there is “a growing sense of concern among his siblings about just how alone he has become,” adding that the isolation is “not just reputational, but deeply personal.” The same source claimed some family members are questioning how long Andrew can “navigate on his own without a lasting effect on his wellbeing.”
In addition to Edward’s alleged involvement, the report said there have been attempts to reach out to Princess Anne, with claims she has been checking on her brother and may have suggested a change of scenery to help him step away from public scrutiny. The reported private outreach comes as senior figures, including King Charles III and Prince William, are said to be maintaining their distance; Britpop News previously reported that Prince William was alleged to have reached out to Prince Andrew despite tensions.
While the claims are attributed to unnamed sources and no official comment was cited, the report indicates that internal family conversations may be shifting from questions of public defence to personal responsibility. Any further change in Andrew’s position within royal life would be expected to remain tightly controlled and largely out of view, with the Palace continuing to keep a firm institutional line in public.
