Reports say Prince Andrew wants to move into Frogmore Cottage, the former home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Lately, there’s been talk about him leaving Royal Lodge, and it seems King Charles has decided that Andrew’s time there is ending.
Sources say Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, know they’ll have to move out soon after living at Royal Lodge for about 20 years. As a parting request, Andrew has asked to live in Frogmore Cottage instead.
According to The Sun, Andrew has not paid rent for his stay at Royal Lodge, which is one reason King Charles wants him to leave. If he moves to Frogmore Cottage, he would need to start paying rent there. The house was originally a gift to Harry and Meghan from Queen Elizabeth II. Andrew was offered the cottage before but turned it down at the time.
Sarah Ferguson is said to be interested in Adelaide Cottage, where Prince William and Kate Middleton currently live, since they are expected to move soon.
A source said Andrew has agreed to leave Royal Lodge but wants to set some conditions. He knows his time there is ending and wants Frogmore Cottage as his new home.
Even though Andrew and Sarah have been divorced for years, they have lived together at Royal Lodge for nearly two decades. Now, people close to them say they may finally be ready to live separately.
