Prince Andrew appears in new DOJ-released Epstein images, Fox News reports
Prince Andrew has been pictured in newly released photographs connected to the US Justice Department’s Jeffrey Epstein investigation, according to reporting in the United States. The former Duke of York stepped back from public duties in 2019 and later lost his royal titles, but fresh scrutiny has followed the latest release of images and documents.
In images released on 30 January, Fox News reported that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor appears on all fours, hovering over an unidentified woman who is lying on her back on the ground, with the woman fully clothed and her face blacked out.
The report said two of the photographs show him crouched with a hand resting on the woman’s stomach while he looks down, and a third shows him on his knees with his hands placed on either side of her body while looking at the camera. The same reporting noted the images are among a new batch released by the Department of Justice, and that inclusion in the files does not necessarily imply wrongdoing.
The fresh attention comes months after the King initiated the process to remove Andrew’s style, titles and honours, and amid ongoing interest in his future role and housing arrangements, including claims that King Charles has a “tricky” reason to evict Andrew from Royal Lodge.
Andrew previously faced allegations from Virginia Giuffre, which he has denied, and the civil case was settled out of court in 2022 without an admission of wrongdoing. The latest document releases are likely to keep focus on the Duke’s past associations and the Royal Family’s efforts to limit his public profile.
