Prince Andrew ‘Blocked’ Edward, Sophie Sandringham Stay
Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh were reportedly unable to stay at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate over the Easter break after Prince Andrew is said to have remained in the property while renovations continue at another residence on the Norfolk grounds.
Castanet reported that Edward, 62, and Sophie, 61, had planned to stay at Wood Farm but instead stayed at Gardens House, a separate cottage on the estate, because Andrew, 66, continued to occupy Wood Farm while awaiting completion of work at Marsh Farm.
The report, attributed to Bang Showbiz and citing The Sun, said an insider claimed Andrew has been going “back and forth” between Wood Farm and Marsh Farm, and that Edward visited Andrew to discuss moving amid claims he was “dragging his heels” about relocating.
It also follows separate recent claims about Andrew’s time on the estate, including reports that he reportedly clashed with staff at Sandringham during his stay there.
Castanet added that Gardens House can accommodate up to eight people and sits about 300 yards from Sandringham House, while a separate security incident was also reported at Marsh Farm after two people were seen scaling an exterior gate before leaving the area.
