Donald Trump has reignited his criticism of Beyoncé, claiming without evidence that she was paid $11 million to support Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. Trump posted the accusation on Truth Social on Saturday, July 26, saying the payment was illegal and that Harris and others who received endorsement money should be prosecuted.
Trump also named Oprah Winfrey and Al Sharpton, suggesting they were also paid for their support of Harris. He expressed outrage, saying if politicians openly paid for celebrity endorsements, there would be major backlash.
Beyoncé appeared at a Kamala Harris abortion rights rally in Houston in October 2024 and allowed Harris to use her song “Freedom” as the official campaign song. However, there is no proof she was paid for her support. In fact, the Federal Election Commission has no record of any $11 million payment to her, and there are no specific rules that ban paying for endorsements.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, had already denied similar rumors last year, saying the singer even paid for her own travel and called the $10 million rumor “a lie.”
During the rally, Beyoncé said she was there not as a celebrity or politician, but as a mother, speaking about the importance of protecting freedom and rights.
Despite Trump’s repeated claims, there is no official evidence backing up his accusation, and the Harris campaign has denied any payments to Beyoncé for her endorsement.
