Comedian Tim Dillon often makes fun of Meghan Markle on his podcast, The Tim Dillon Show. He thinks she acts like a victim, even though she was living in a royal castle and married to a prince.
In an interview, Dillon said Meghan became popular at a time when being seen as a victim got a lot of attention. He finds it funny that she managed to do that while having such a privileged life. He also said she’s a talented actress and that it’s rare for someone in the royal family to play the victim and make it believable.
Dillon also said Prince Harry seems confused and is probably just going along with everything like it’s an adventure.
Meghan and Harry haven’t responded to what Dillon said.
The couple left their royal roles in 2020, saying they wanted to be financially independent. Later, they shared that Meghan was under a lot of pressure from the media and felt unsupported by the royal family. In a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan said the stress led her to think about suicide, and both she and Harry said someone in the royal family made racist comments.
King Charles III reportedly gave them money to help them start a new life. They moved to California, started a foundation called Archewell, and signed big deals, including one with Netflix.
In 2022, their Netflix show Harry & Meghan talked more about their problems with the royal family. They said some family members were jealous of Meghan and tried to make them look bad. Harry also said Prince William got very angry when they decided to leave.
In 2024, Meghan started a lifestyle brand called As Ever. It sells things like jam, tea, and baking mixes, which sold out quickly. Her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, about cooking and entertaining, came out in March.
