Maui Police Chief John Pelletier says he has no connection to the people named in the lawsuit and that the accusations against him are false. He believes the evidence will prove this and expose those trying to spread lies.
Pelletier was honored in 2018 for his work in preventing sexual assault while serving as a police captain in Las Vegas. He says these accusations are not only false but also disrespect victims of real abuse.
A lawsuit claims Diddy, along with NFL player Odell Beckham Jr. and influencer Druski, were involved in a sexual assault case. It also alleges that Pelletier, who was working security for Diddy at the time, pretended to be a local sheriff to cover up the crime.
Ashley Parham, the woman making the claims, says she was lured to an apartment after mentioning Diddy in a phone call. She says Diddy and his group then attacked her. After escaping, a neighbor called the police, but Pelletier allegedly told her to go home without offering help or calling for medical assistance.
Pelletier, who became Maui’s police chief in 2021, denies the allegations. Odell Beckham Jr. has also denied being involved, calling the claims ridiculous.
Maui’s mayor has asked for Pelletier to be put on leave while the case is investigated. So far, Pelletier has not responded to further questions.
