Famed British political pundit Piers Morgan recently revealed that he was hospitalized with a fractured femur and will need surgery after a painful fall on a “small step” via Page Six
The femur fracture was so bad that Morgan, a former columnist for The Post, required hip replacement surgery that will leave him on crutches for about six weeks and unable to fly long distances for three months.
“New Year off to a cracking start!” Morgan scoffed in an announcement on social media, with a selfie in a hospital bed.
Morgan stated that the nasty tumble took place at an unspecified London hotel restaurant and did not elaborate on the circumstances of his incident.
He posted a photo of the X-Ray showing how he fractured the neck of the femur.
To show that he’s not too bummed out about his injuries, Morgan jokingly added: “I blame Donald Trump.”
The British broadcaster, who runs the eponymous “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” has a lengthy history with President Trump that dates back to his days on “Celebrity Apprentice,” which he won in 2008.
Morgan has also cultivated a friendly relationship with the Republican juggernaut, but has given him tough interviews in the past and espoused nuanced views about his policies.
Morgan has vocally slammed Trump, accusing him of going “mad” during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, bashing the president’s December 2025 post gloating over the deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, and criticizing the administration’s handling of the Epstein files.
But Morgan has defended Trump from time to time. Last year, for example, he ripped into Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for calling the president “the worst thing on the face of the earth.”
