Pamela Anderson recently addressed comparisons between her cooking show and Meghan Markle’s Netflix series.
While appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on August 3, Anderson was asked if she thought Meghan’s With Love, Meghan was a “rip-off” of Pamela’s Cooking With Love, which premiered just a week earlier.
Cohen asked, “On a scale from one to ten, how much of a rip off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show?” Anderson seemed surprised and answered, “One. I didn’t.”
When Cohen pressed again, she shook her head and said, “No, I didn’t really look, but I didn’t invent cooking shows.” She laughed and added, “She’s just doing her thing.”
Anderson was joined on the show by her Naked Gun co-star and new boyfriend, Liam Neeson.
Pamela’s Cooking With Love, which premiered on February 24 on Canada’s Flavour Network, features Anderson hosting dinner parties and preparing plant-based meals with top chefs at her rural Vancouver Island property.
With Love, Meghan premiered March 4 on Netflix and shows Meghan Markle cooking, gardening, and entertaining celebrity guests like Roy Choi and Alice Waters. The release had been delayed from January due to wildfires in Los Angeles.
A second season of With Love, Meghan is expected this fall. However, reports suggest that Meghan and Prince Harry’s $100 million, five-year Netflix deal won’t be renewed when it expires in September. A Hollywood insider told PEOPLE that while the current agreement may end, other types of deals with Netflix could still happen.
