Oasis is gearing up for a reunion tour, which is focused on the UK and Ireland. And no, it will not include any dates in China.
Liam Gallagher recently answered fan questions on X. Someone asked if the Oasis reunion rehearsals had started yet. And Liam goes: “Yes and apparently they’re sounding epic.”
Then another fan asked when he would start rehearsing. And Liam said: “I’ll pop my head round the door in a few weeks.”
Liam had previously said that he would be the last to join Oasis rehearsals, so he can rest his vocals.
Knowl and Liam will walk on stage for the first time together since the band split in 2009 on July 4th at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The shows will also feature special guests Richard Ashcroft and Cast, who are friends up the band. Liam and Knowl Gallagher are bringing in newcomer Joey Waronker on drums alongside more established former Oasis band members on guitars.
This reunion is going to be epic. Oasis fans are expected to splash out huge money on the reunion tour including tickets, accommodation, food, drink, outfits and merchandise.
Research by Wonderwallets, part of the Barclays Consumer Spend report, estimates £1.06 billion will be spent by the 1.4 million fans attending the 17 UK tour dates – more than £766 a person.
However, the excitement around once again being able to see the Mancunian band live has been marred by a scandal over “dynamic” ticket pricing, which led to some fans paying more than £350 for tickets with a face value of £150, and has prompted an investigation by the UK competition watchdog.
