Oasis kicked off the North American leg of their 2025 reunion tour on Sunday night with a rousing, rain-soaked show at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium. During the show, Noel Gallagher called out a fan after they booed his hometown, Manchester.
A sold-out crowd of 50,000 turned out for the Gallagher brothers’ first North American show in 16 years, and despite rain showers drenching most of the night, the band powered through.
Playing the same 23- song setlist featured in the earlier UK leg of the tour, Liam and Noel ran through greatest hits and fan favorites, including “Acquiesce,” “Morning Glory,” “Cigarettes & Alcohol,” “Live Forever,” “The Masterplan,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” and “Champagne Supernova.”
Oasis didn’t seem bothered by the rain. Liam told the crowd at one point, “It’s only a bit of rain, man. We’re from Manchester.”
Later in the set, he exclaimed, “Don’t you just love it? A little bit of chaos when the weather comes. All that sunshine. Not good for ya!”
The group last played in Toronto in 2008, where Noel was tackled by a fan on stage and broke some ribs, before the band fully broke up in Paris in 2009 after a heated backstage fight between the brothers.
Oasis are set to play another show in Toronto on Monday night, before making their way to Chicago; East Rutherford, New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Mexico City.
Noel Gallagher made his first public comments about an Oasis reunion during a surprise appearance on talkSPORT. While he mainly called in to talk about his beloved Manchester City, he answered a few questions about the band’s ongoing tour—marking the first on-record remarks from either him or Liam Gallagher since their reunion.
Noel Gallagher shared that he’s feeling “on top of the world” and has been “blown away” by the overwhelming reception the gigs have received thus far.
“It’s been truly amazing. I’m not usually short for words,” he added.
