Oasis undoubtedly had one of their biggest years since the inception of the band. Oasis guitarist Gem Archer has recently hinted that the Britpop legends might continue to tour very soon, with Noel Gallagher allegedly quipping that there is “no rest for the immensely talented”.
In an interview with Guitar World, Archer reflected on playing the giant Oasis reunion tour, which wrapped up in São Paulo, Brazil on November 23rd. Oasis members are ready for a rest but the end of the tour might not quite spell the end of Oasis.
Archer said, “I still don’t know my ass from my elbow. It’s time to decompress.” and that the Oasis machine is “not just something you can flick on”.
Archer admitted, “It’s the weirdest thing. It’s all a blur. We’ve all said that we won’t know what this was ‘till next year. When all the wheels stop spinning, you know, there’s just so much to take on board. It really was a bit of a whirlwind, you know?”
Addressing rumours of future shows, Archer maintained that he didn’t know “anything about what’s coming up”. However, he went on to say, “Anything could happen, which could include nothing. But this was quite a thing… if stuff was happening, I think I might already know about it, if you know what I mean? It’s not something you just flick on.”
Archer then concluded on a mysterious note, recalling: “Noel has said, ‘No rest for the immensely talented,’ so take that how you want”.
Just days ago, Liam ruled out any 2026 tour dates – but did suggest something may be in the works for 2027.
