Miley Cyrus has a lot of respect for Beyoncé. After joining her on stage in Paris last month to perform their duet “II Most Wanted” during the Cowboy Carter Tour, Miley talked about Beyoncé in an interview on SiriusXM’s TikTok Radio with Chris Olsen. She called Beyoncé a “top-tier” artist and compared seeing her live to watching legends like Prince or Michael Jackson.
Miley said Beyoncé is everything you’d hope for both on stage and in real life. She praised her grace, confidence, and how naturally she balances her superstar image with her real personality.
“She has this queen-like energy all the time,” Miley said. “Who she is on stage is just a more fun and flashy version of who she is every day.”
Miley also shared that she’s been a fan since Beyoncé’s days in Destiny’s Child. She said her grandpa gave her a karaoke machine in elementary school with the song “Survivor” on it, and she used to sing it all the time. The machine also had Blondie’s “The Tide Is High,” which she said perfectly matched her mix of pop and rock influences.
During the first night of Beyoncé’s three sold-out shows in Paris, Miley made a surprise appearance to perform “II Most Wanted.” Later, Miley posted a heartfelt message on Instagram thanking Beyoncé for the moment. She called it a dream come true and said performing in matching gold outfits with Beyoncé in front of a packed stadium was more than she ever imagined.
She ended the post by saying, “I’ll be your shotgun rider for life,” and thanked the Cowboy Carter tour crew for making it all happen.
