If you’ve ever wondered how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle handled the birth of their second child, Lilibet Diana, we now know more. On June 4, Meghan celebrated Lili’s 4th birthday by sharing three posts on Instagram. One was a long video from her hospital room just before giving birth.
Meghan said both Lili and Archie were born a week late. When spicy food, walking, and acupuncture didn’t help, she tried dancing. In the video, Meghan is seen twerking and dancing to “The Baby Momma Dance” song while Harry joins in, dancing and laughing.
The video quickly spread online. Some people thought it was fun and cute. Others found it awkward and embarrassing.
Prince William and Kate Middleton were allegedly not happy about it. Sources say they were shocked and thought it looked desperate. This has only made the tension between Meghan and Kate worse. Someone close to them even said Kate told friends she would never act like that. William was also upset because Harry, even though he lives away from the family now, is still fifth in line to be king, so it doesn’t look good.
Soon after posting the dance video, Meghan shared another clip from their family trip to Disneyland. She thanked the park for giving them two days of joy. This came right after she announced that her website, As Ever, would be launching new and old products.
Because of all this, many people in the UK think Meghan has changed from being a royal to being more like a social media influencer, trying to promote herself. There are also reports that she’ll launch her own rosé wine soon.
People close to Harry and Meghan say building her business is very important to her now, so she needs to be active on social media. But some fans feel it sends a mixed message.
Before, Meghan traveled and spoke a lot about helping women and girls. Now, she interviews rich women on her podcast and gives party and lifestyle tips on her Netflix show With Love, Meghan. Critics say it seems like she’s gone from talking about big issues to talking about flowers and parties.
