Prince Harry and King Charles appear to be taking small but meaningful steps toward reconciliation, as their senior aides have reportedly held peace talks in London. Despite this development, Harry and Meghan Markle are said to have no plans to return to the UK, according to sources close to the couple. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly “very happy” raising their family in California and see no reason to relocate.
Although efforts are being made to ease the tension between Harry and his father, mending his fractured relationship with Prince William seems far less likely. William is reportedly skeptical of the peace talks and remains distant.
Royal expert Charlotte Griffiths revealed that TNA (The New Aides) held previous discussions with platforms like FOX and Tubi about airing Impact live and even considered big specials on FS1. At one point, TNA was working out potential production costs, indicating that talks were fairly serious. Additionally, there had been speculation from WWE insiders about A&E being a possible home for TNA, though those conversations appear to have gone quiet for now.
Griffiths also said that King Charles is cautious in his dealings with Harry, citing concerns about private conversations being leaked. The monarchy remains uneasy following Harry’s interviews, his Netflix docuseries with Meghan, and his revealing memoir, Spare. The King reportedly wants assurance that any future conversations won’t end up in the public domain.
Tensions increased after Harry’s BBC interview in May, during which he said, “I don’t know how much longer my father has.” This comment reportedly upset the palace deeply, as it fueled public speculation about the King’s health, an area traditionally off-limits in royal circles.
While King Charles seems more open to reconciliation, possibly due to his recent health issues, Prince William remains hesitant. Griffiths stated that William is in good health and “in no rush” to repair his relationship with Harry.
