The report also cited a second source describing the Duchess as “acutely aware” of hostility from sections of the British press, saying that “level of animosity would inevitably make any return difficult and uncomfortable”. It added that security considerations remain part of the picture, with another source previously telling the Daily Express she has concerns about “really nasty trolls”.
The discussion around a possible trip comes amid wider scrutiny of the couple’s UK plans, including reports about how Meghan Markle has approached Prince Harry’s summer return for the Invictus countdown engagement.
