Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle brand As Ever is already attracting major attention. After launching her online shop, every product drop so far has sold out in minutes. This includes her raspberry jam, orange blossom honey, and her new $30 Napa Valley rosé wine.
According to Newsweek, Meghan’s website had around 500,000 page views during the week of her second product launch. That shows just how high the demand is, even though the number of products available has been very limited.
If every one of those visitors had bought her cheapest item, the $9 jam, Meghan could have made about $4.5 million in one week. However, it’s unlikely that every visitor made a purchase. Some may have only browsed, while others could have bought more than one item or gone for more expensive products like the $28 honey or $30 wine (sold in bundles of three for $90 minimum).
Nick Ede, a brand expert in the UK, told Newsweek that Meghan could easily earn up to a million dollars a week if she focuses on the right products. He believes wine is the real money-maker, not the food items like crepe mix or flower sprinkles. These novelty products may not attract repeat customers, and their high prices have been mocked online. For example, her flower sprinkles cost $15 for just 0.18 ounces.
Ede explained that wine has more long-term potential. People tend to have favorite wines and buy them regularly for events, holidays, or just to keep at home. He said that if Meghan can improve supply and make her wine available in stores around the world, not just online, she could build a strong business.
It’s also important to note that these sales numbers only show possible revenue, not profit. Meghan still has to cover production costs and share earnings with Netflix, which owns part of the brand.
