Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s deal with Netflix will end in September and won’t be renewed. They signed the multi-year agreement in 2020, which was said to be worth around $100 million.
A source said the decision is part of Netflix changing how it does business. There are no hard feelings both sides are moving on naturally.
Even though the deal is ending, they might still work together in the future. Meghan’s show With Love, Meghan will return for a second season this fall.
Netflix is stepping away from big, multi-project deals. A similar change happened with Barack and Michelle Obama’s company, which switched to a smaller agreement.
With Love, Meghan, which started in March 2025, got 5.3 million views and ranked 383 in Netflix’s viewership report. Another project, Polo, had about 500,000 views and ranked much lower. Their 2022 series Harry & Meghan is still Netflix’s most-watched documentary debut. A source said Netflix was happy with the attention and success of that first series.
With Love, Meghan features Meghan sharing cooking tips, lifestyle advice, and conversations with guests like Mindy Kaling. She also launched a brand called As Ever with the show. Netflix is a partner in that brand, which had strong sales.
Season 2 is already finished and will include guests like Chrissy Teigen. It will be the final release under their original Netflix deal.
When the couple first joined Netflix, they planned to create a variety of content, including documentaries and kids’ shows. Their goal was to share stories that inspire and bring hope.
