Fans are accusing Meghan Markle of faking a garden photo she posted on Instagram. In the photo, her dog Mia is seen sniffing a basket full of vegetables like corn, broccoli, squash, peppers, and carrots. The caption said the produce came from her garden in California.
But many people online don’t believe it. They pointed out that the vegetables were too clean, with no dirt at all, and included crops that aren’t even in season. For example, corn is usually harvested in summer, not May.
One person wrote that she must be the only person harvesting corn in May outside the US Corn Belt. Others joked that the vegetables looked more like they came from Whole Foods, not her backyard.
People also noticed that Meghan was wearing fancy white pants, $1,000 designer shoes, and a fresh pink pedicure, which are hardly gardening clothes. One fan asked if she really expected people to believe she harvested in those shoes.
Meghan and Prince Harry live in a $15 million mansion near Santa Barbara with their two kids. Her lifestyle brand, recently renamed As Ever, launched limited raspberry jam, tea, honey, and dried flowers earlier this year, and everything sold out quickly.
However, Meghan says she is now taking a break from the brand and doesn’t plan to release new products until 2026. She also mentioned she may explore starting a clothing line in the future.
