Madonna recently turned heads at JFK International Airport on July 13th as she sported a $1,050 Britney Spears t-shirt from the pop star’s new fashion capsule. The 66-year-old music icon donned the standout piece from Spears’ collaboration with Demna, creative director of Gucci, featured in Balenciaga’s ready-to-wear Spring 2026 line titled “Exactitudes” via Hola!
The black T-shirt showcases a vintage image of Britney Spears from her early career. In this throwback photograph, Britney is wearing a red top, a leather jacket, fishnet gloves, jeans, and a black belt. Her name is displayed in bold blue letters above the image.
To complement the striking top, Madonna paired it with an oversized denim jacket and matching ripped jeans that have a hole beneath her left knee. She completed her look with a wide-brimmed Gucci navy monogram hat, oversized black sunglasses, silver hoop earrings, and white sneakers. Additionally, she carried a black handbag.
Madonna and Spears famously collaborated in 2003 on the song “Me Against the Music.” That same year, the two performed “Like a Virgin” at the MTV Video Music Awards alongside Christina Aguilera, paying tribute to Madonna’s iconic 1984 VMA performance.
The moment became legendary when Madonna kissed both Spears and Aguilera on stage, while Spears’ then-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, watched from the audience.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of that memorable kiss, Madonna reportedly hoped to have Spears join her on stage during her Celebration Tour.
Although the tour faced delays due to Madonna’s hospitalization for a serious bacterial infection in June 2023, which required her to stay at an ICU, the singer still extended an invitation for Spears to perform at her March 2024 show at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
