Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Kobe Bryant, showed her excitement after spotting Taylor Swift wearing merchandise from the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
Vanessa, 43, shared screenshots on Instagram after seeing Swift wear a royal blue crewneck from the foundation in The End of an Era documentary series on Disney+. She praised Swift in her post and expressed gratitude, calling the moment meaningful for her family.
“What a gift. We love you @taylorswift,” she wrote, adding a blue heart emoji and Swift’s song “Opalite” to the post.
Swift has had a long-standing connection with the Bryants. In 2015, she surprised fans by bringing Kobe onstage during one of her concerts. Kobe later spoke highly of Swift, praising her work ethic and success, and calling her a true competitor.
Kobe and his daughter Gianna Bryant died in a helicopter crash in January 2020, a loss that deeply impacted the sports and entertainment worlds.
Swift has continued to show support for the Bryant family. Earlier this year, she supported Vanessa and Kobe’s eldest daughter, Natalia, after her graduation from the University of Southern California.
Vanessa has remained committed to honoring Kobe and Gianna’s legacy. She recently spoke about releasing Mamba & Mambacita Forever, a book created to preserve murals and memories dedicated to them, ensuring their impact lives on for future generations.
