Kim Kardashian says she pitched Meghan Markle a SKIMS campaign after deleting party photos
Kim Kardashian has said she made a surprise pitch to Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, about fronting a SKIMS campaign, after an online row over photographs of Meghan and Prince Harry at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday celebrations. The reality star and entrepreneur discussed the proposal while reflecting on why the images were later removed.
Speaking on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Khloé In Wonderland, The Sun reported that Ms Kardashian suggested making the situation “light” by staging a “full Skims campaign”, even offering to shoot Meghan herself at Kris Jenner’s home and then delete the post shortly afterwards.
Ms Kardashian also addressed the backlash around the deleted birthday-party pictures, saying she and her family do not post images without approval and that permission had been given before the photos went up. She claimed the pictures were later removed after Meghan and Prince Harry realised it was Remembrance Day and did not want to be seen at a party.
In the same discussion, Ms Kardashian said there was no rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Kardashian-Jenner family, adding that Kris Jenner and Meghan have been friends for several years. Britpop News previously reported on Ms Kardashian’s account of the deletion in her explanation for taking down the Harry and Meghan party snaps.
SKIMS launched in 2019 and has expanded beyond shapewear into broader clothing lines, with a roster of celebrity models in recent campaigns. The latest remarks are likely to reignite attention around the party-photo controversy, particularly as public figures continue to navigate the scrutiny that comes with sharing private moments online.
