Pop icon Taylor Swift’s new album enchants Katy Perry. A decade after their infamous feud began, the “Roar” singer showed her support for the release of the “Cruel Summer” singer’s The Life of a Showgirl via E! Online.
In a photo posted to her Instagram Stories October 10th, Katy dropped a screenshot of her listening to one of the tracks off the project called “Eldest Daughter.”
Indeed, the “Firework” singer has been there to cheer on several of Taylor’s major career milestones since they buried their years-long beef and it reportedly began in 2014 over a disagreement about backup dancers—when Katy sent Taylor a literal olive branch at the start of her 2018 Reputation tour.
In fact, back in 2024, the former American Idol judge got to shake it off in the VIP tent at the “Fate of Ophelia” singer’s Eras Tour stop in Australia.
“I had one day off before the show,” Katy recalled in a TikTok posted Jan. 17 by Capital, “and I was like, ‘Hey, girl, I’m gonna come to this show.’ And she was so excited and I was so excited.”
And it’s safe to say the 40-year-old was down bad over the three-hour spectacle.
“I loved it,” Katy continued, noting that the spirit of the crowd only added to the experience.
“It’s just like a community—it’s an adorable, sweet community. And I got to see her and we got to catch up. I love her so much.”
Taylor, who invited Katy to reconcile on screen in her 2019 music video for “You Need to Calm Down,” expressed that she is equally happy there is no longer any animosity between them. She previously admitted that after repairing their relationship, “something felt so much lighter” in her life.
“She and I have been fine for a while and really on good terms but we didn’t know if we were ever gonna really tell people about it,” the 35-year-old told UK’s Capital Breakfast in 2019. “We wanted to make sure that was solid between us before we ever made the public aware.”
