Justin Bieber recently talked about his strong faith in Jesus Christ during a livestream with his friends. The 31-year-old singer talked about Christianity, God’s love, and forgiveness, while also using some casual language during the discussion.
“God says you are,” Bieber proclaimed. “I don’t make the rules. But Jesus says that, and I really believe Him.”
At the end of the video, Bieber shared a message for people who feel unworthy or struggle with self-image. He reminded them that God loves them and that Jesus came to Earth as a human to save people from sin. Bieber said that Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross, and rose again, allowing people to live freely and focus on His love instead of guilt.
He called Jesus the king of the world, Hollywood, Los Angeles, and his heart. Bieber said that his faith gives him purpose and peace. He also mentioned that his knowledge of Scripture comes from childhood, when his mother helped him memorize Bible verses and rewarded him for it. Even though he does not always remember the exact location of the verses, he said their meaning stays with him.
“Then He rose on the third day, defeating death, Hell and the grave,” Bieber added. “Now we get to live free, and rather than focus on sin now, we can focus on Jesus, the wonderful Savior.”
Bieber described Jesus as “the king of the world” as well as “the king of Hollywood,” “the king of [Los Angeles]” and “the king of my heart.” The video concluded with Bieber declaring, “That’s facts, bro.”
Bieber talked about how sacred the Bible feels to him, even though he used profanity while discussing it. He said he can feel the emotion and truth in the ancient texts and sometimes feels that God gives him inspiration directly.
The singer has shared his faith for years on social media, thanking Jesus for forgiveness and describing God’s love as something that breaks self-hatred and brings peace. Bieber said his faith helped him during difficult times, like when he had partial facial paralysis in 2022 and when his wife Hailey had health problems.
