Justin Bieber Set to Headline Coachella Saturday Night
Justin Bieber is scheduled to headline Saturday’s second day of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, as thousands of fans head to the Empire Polo Club for the next round of performances. The update comes after strong winds affected Friday night’s programme, prompting at least one cancellation.
NBC Los Angeles reported that Bieber is due on the Coachella Stage at 11.25pm, with The Strokes, Giveon, Addison Rae, Morat, PinkPantheress and Jack White also listed among Saturday’s performers.
Friday’s opening day was impacted by windy conditions, with organisers and Italian-American DJ Anyma deciding to cancel his scheduled main-stage performance because the gusts affected the stage build. The report said no additional performances were cancelled due to the wind, though some campers had tents damaged by the conditions.
The announcement follows earlier fan speculation about his potential festival appearance, including reports linking Bieber to a Coachella headline return ahead of the weekend’s programme.
Coachella’s first weekend is set to conclude on Sunday, with Karol G headlining and a further slate of artists due to perform before Weekend Two begins later in April.
