Justin Bieber is having problems with his own clothing brand, Drew House. On April 10, he shared and quickly deleted a message on Instagram saying he is no longer part of Drew House. He posted a picture of the brand’s Instagram page and wrote, “I, Justin Bieber, am no longer involved in this brand. Drew House doesn’t represent me, my family, or my life. If you support me as a person, don’t spend your money on Drew House.” Bieber started the brand with his former stylist Ryan Good in 2018, and it officially launched in January 2019.
After that post, Bieber shared a video with a cartoon version of himself walking into a house full of Drew House items. He lights a match and burns the house down. Then he walks away with his wife Hailey and a baby in a stroller. They walk toward a new bright building, and the word “SKYLRK” appears on the screen.
Bieber has been hinting that SKYLRK is his new fashion brand. The matches in the video show the same logo as SKYLRK, and the brand seems to sell clothes and accessories like hoodies, hats, sunglasses, and phone cases. Some people think the logo looks similar to the design of Hailey’s Rhode “Lip Case” product. SKYLRK has an Instagram page but hasn’t posted anything yet or announced a launch date.
A source close to Bieber’s team told People that many Drew House employees were upset. They said the announcement of SKYLRK was a big surprise and felt like a “slap in the face” to people who were working hard on the next Drew release. The source also said the fire in the video was inappropriate because some of the team had been affected by real wildfires recently.
