Pop icon Justin Bieber has been recently branded ‘disgraceful’ after footage emerged of him playing at an ultra-exclusive golf course while wearing a casual white vest via Daily Mail.
Does this help or hurt the case that golf needs dress codes?

The short clip of the global popstar has been viewed more than two million times on X and sees him dressed in an all-white outfit as he hits a tee shot at the Madison Golf Club in California.
Membership at the 18-hole course starts at $500,000 due to its incredible facilities which include a private movie theatre, an outdoor pool, a large gym, comfort stations for food and drink, and multiple designer stores.
Bieber has now experienced the exclusive course, but some fans were not impressed by his informal attire.
Alongside the video of Bieber, one fan posed the question: ‘Does this help or hurt the case that golf needs dress codes?’
One X user simply replied in the comments: ‘Disgraceful’, before adding ‘we would never allow this at Bushwood’.
Bushwood is an exclusive golf course available to members in Michigan.
Another fan was also critical of Bieber as they claimed: ‘I’m ok with no dress code on public courses, but clubs have a right to enforce at least a minimum dress code.’
Meanwhile, one fan stated they were more concerned by the trousers Bieber was wearing, writing: ‘I’m much more offended by the pants’.
However, others pointed out that there is no dress code at Madison, insisting there should be no issue with what Bieber was wearing.
Attention then turned to Bieber’s golfing technique based on the solitary clip.
Bieber is believed to have a handicap index of 10.2, but some fans were not completely convinced after he nearly swung himself off his feet.
In response to the 31-year-old losing his balance and letting go of the driver with one hand, one X post read: ‘The truly offensive thing is that this swing plays to a 10.2.’
‘Based on his swing, I’d be more concerned how long a round would take him to finish,’ another fan added.
