Jason Kelce recently opened up about his emotional response to hearing his future sister-in-law Taylor Swift describe Travis Kelce via PEOPLE.
During an August 13th appearance on the NFL stars’ New Heights podcast, Swift stated that Travis epitomized a “human exclamation point.”
“Travis is just a vibe booster in everyone’s life that he’s in,” Swift explained.
“When you take a picture on your phone and you push the enhance color button, that’s what you do to everyone’s life,” she said.
Fans wnoticed that Jason seemed to be moved by the description. And he explained why during a Tuesday, September 2nd appearance on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast.
Speaking to hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, Jason said that Swift’s words were proof that Swift fully understands why Travis is such an incredible human being.
“The human exclamation point was the best way I’ve ever heard Travis described in my life. I think it’s such an accurate statement. The dude just brings joy to every place he ever is, and people love him. And he makes everything better,” he explained.
Jason emotionally added, “To watch them support each other, love each other, and get to this stage, and now to have this together. I’m just… I’m very happy for him.”
The retired Philadelphia Eagles center also noted that seeing Travis so happy was fulfilling for several reasons.
“I think first of all, I love my brother, and I just want him to have the most fulfilled, best life possible. And such a huge part of that is like, you know, who you end up marrying, who you end up raising a family with,” he said.
“I know the kind of person he is, and I’ve been blessed to get to know Taylor over the last couple years. And I just think that they match so well together. They are unbelievably supportive of each other and both of their outlandishly successful worlds,” he continued.
Compton and Lewan joked that Jason was giving a hint of his potential best man speech for Travis and Swift’s upcoming nuptials.
“I’m going to fire up something a lot better,” he said, adding, “Hopefully I’m the best man.”
“Trav has a lot of friends. I’m just hoping to get the opportunity,” Jason admitted of his competion for the role.
When asked if he was ever concerned that Travis wouldn’t find love, Jason said that he “never lost hope.”
“I think at all times, I know my brother’s intentions and who he is as a person and the values that my parents raised him with and how he treats people, how he treats women. All of these things… Eventually, I think it works out when you go through life like that.”
Jason continued to praise his brother, saying, “He’s a great person. He’s unselfish. Everything he does I think would lead to him finding somebody that would want to be with him for all the right reasons and more.”
