Britney Spears Arrested in Ventura DUI Stop
Pop star Ms Britney Spears has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in Ventura, California, after police stopped her vehicle in the early hours. The incident has prompted fresh attention on her family situation, with reports linking the arrest to rising tensions involving her ex-husband, Mr Kevin Federline, and their two sons.
Officers pulled Spears over after observing erratic driving in a BMW convertible, including swerving and sudden braking, and noting that the car’s tail lights were not working, IBTimes UK reported.
The report says Spears was booked at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office at around 3am and spent about nine hours in custody before being released. It adds that she appeared distressed during the booking process and that a “mystery substance” was found in the vehicle, although its exact nature had not been confirmed.
The account also references claims from a source speaking to OK! that the weeks before the arrest were marked by emotional confrontations with Federline over their sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, who live with him in Hawaii. Related coverage has continued to track the case, including new details emerging after the alleged DUI arrest in separate reporting.
Spears’ manager, Mr Cade Hudson, was quoted as saying he hoped she could get “help and support” and that her loved ones were working on a plan focused on her wellbeing. No further official details were cited in the report about potential charges or a court date.
