Hailey Bieber’s journey to becoming a mother was tough. When she gave birth to her and Justin Bieber’s son, Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024, it was one of the best days of her life but it wasn’t easy.
Hailey told Vogue that giving birth was the hardest thing she’d ever done. Even though she worked hard before the birth doing exercises and pelvic-floor therapy to get ready—she had to be medically induced. During her long 18-hour labor, doctors used a Foley balloon, a device inserted into the uterus to help start labor, which made things more uncomfortable.
She recalled that the experience was really intense and painful. She went into labor without any epidural or pain medicine. After the birth, Hailey had heavy bleeding, which scared her. She trusted her doctor but knew that severe bleeding could be dangerous. During the chaos, her baby was taken away, and she felt anxious and just wanted to hold him.
Thankfully, the doctors used a special device called a Jada to stop the bleeding, and things got better. Despite the frightening experience, Hailey said she would go through it all again—just one child at a time.
Hailey also shared how Justin reacted during the process, saying he started thinking she was like a superhero because of how strong she was.
Even while enjoying motherhood and having Justin by her side, Hailey faced a lot of rumors online about their relationship, which was very hard for her during such a sensitive time. She described being postpartum as the most emotionally difficult period in her life and said dealing with internet gossip made it even tougher.
