Gwyneth Paltrow recently opened up about her relationship with Meghan Markle during an interview at the Mindvalley Manifesting Summit in Los Angeles on May 17. She shared that while they haven’t spent much time together in person yet, they do text regularly and are friendly.
Paltrow also addressed the online rumors of tension between them, saying, “I don’t like when people try to pit women against each other.” She emphasized that she supports Meghan and doesn’t see her as competition.
In fact, when asked if she’d appear on Season 2 of Meghan’s Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, Gwyneth said, “Sure! Why not?” even though she admits she’s not much of a baker.
Back in March, Paltrow had already shown support for Meghan’s new lifestyle brand, As ever, stating that she believes women should lift each other up:
“Another woman is never your competition.”
Meghan previously ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig, and her new ventures include cooking and gardening content. Meanwhile, Paltrow’s own wellness brand, Goop, has grown into a $250 million empire since it launched in 2008.
To put the rumors to rest, the two even shared a lighthearted moment on Instagram Stories, where Meghan popped into Gwyneth’s video, showing that neither of them understood the alleged “feud.”
They both live in Montecito, California, and Gwyneth says the peaceful community gives them a chance to connect:
“It’s very serene… a much quieter frequency than a big city.”
