Gwyneth Paltrow is tired of the rumors about her having a feud with Meghan Markle. On the April 24 episode of The World’s First Podcast with Erin & Sara Foster, the 52-year-old actress and Goop founder spoke honestly about the gossip. She said, “I’m not going to be used in a fake feud between women just to get clicks.”
“Leave us out of it,” she added. “I won’t put up with it.”
Paltrow also said she supports Meghan, calling her efforts “great” and saying she is “proud of her,” adding that “every woman deserves the chance to do whatever they want.”
Meghan recently launched her lifestyle brand, As Ever, which sold out its first products quickly. Paltrow made it clear she doesn’t see Meghan as competition for her brand, Goop. In a Vanity Fair interview in March, Paltrow said, “Another woman is never your competition. There’s always enough to go around.”
The idea that they were fighting was further dismissed on March 26, when they appeared together in a funny Instagram video. A fan asked about the supposed “beef,” and Paltrow, looking confused, turned the camera to Meghan, who just laughed while eating a slice of pie.
Meghan recently spoke with PEOPLE about starting her brand, sharing that it was a learning process and she appreciated everyone being patient as she figured things out.
