David Beckham is set to receive one of the biggest honors of his career, but there are concerns the moment could be overshadowed by family tension.
The 50-year-old football legend has been confirmed as part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2025. He will receive his own star following the worldwide success of his Netflix documentary. His plaque will also include the title “Sir,” after he was knighted by King Charles III last year.
However, reports suggest the celebration could feel bittersweet due to an ongoing rift with his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham. Brooklyn, 26, lives in Los Angeles with his wife Nicola Peltz, just minutes away from where the star will be placed, but it is unclear whether he will attend.
The ceremony is expected to take place in the coming months, likely before the summer World Cup in the U.S. Tensions have grown in recent weeks, with reports claiming Brooklyn skipped David’s knighthood ceremony and blocked several family members on social media.
Despite this, David recently shared a public message expressing love for all his children, signaling hope that the relationship can still be repaired.
David Beckham will join other 2025 honorees including Jessica Chastain, Green Day, and Colin Farrell.
