Catherine Blair Bowman, the wife of former Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Madden, has filed court papers accusing him of physically hurting her. She says the fight started after she found messages between Madden and teenage girls. The story was first reported by People.
In her statement, Bowman explained how upset she was after seeing the messages. She said:
“I was very hurt and upset. I wanted to understand what was going on. When he denied it, I asked for his phone. He wouldn’t give it to me, but I saw him quickly deleting things.”
“He grabbed me around my stomach and arms to hold me still. Then he slammed me into the marble kitchen counter. I felt pain in my hip and side. He pushed me to the floor. I fell on my knees. He kept yelling at me to give him the phone. He looked completely out of control, like a different person.”
Bowman is now asking the court for a restraining order to keep Madden away from her. This comes just a few months after the couple got married in June 2025. What seemed like a happy new chapter has quickly turned serious with these allegations.
Mickey Madden was born on May 13, 1979, and was one of the original members of Maroon 5. He helped start the band when it was still called Kara’s Flowers in the 1990s. He stayed with Maroon 5 until he left in July 2020. Madden was part of their biggest hits, including “Moves Like Jagger,” and helped the band win awards and gain international fame.
