Dr. Phil McGraw believes Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s four kids could end up in foster care if their situation gets worse.
In a new interview, the former talk show host warned that Kardashian might face serious problems if she doesn’t take legal steps to handle West’s unpredictable behavior.
“If you need an emergency intervention, then get one,” Dr. Phil said on TMZ’s 2 Angry Men podcast. “We don’t want these children to end up in foster care because that system is broken.”
Even though Kardashian and West are billionaires, Dr. Phil said that won’t necessarily protect their kids—North (11), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (5).
“If the Department of Children and Families thinks one parent is unstable and the other isn’t reacting, they will step in,” he explained. “They’ll probably place the kids with family instead of strangers, but you don’t want them stuck in that situation.”
Kardashian and West finalized their divorce in 2022, agreeing to share custody of their children. But Kardashian is reportedly thinking about changing their custody agreement after West featured North on a song with Sean “Diddy” Combs without her approval.
She also allegedly cut short North’s visit with West after finding out that Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate—who are facing serious legal charges—would be there.
Recently, West went on a long social media rant, accusing Kardashian and her family of limiting his parenting rights. He compared their custody arrangement to “visitation” in “jail.”
