During Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ current federal trial, the court revealed a troubling exchange of text messages between him and his former girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, from January 2013. These texts showed that Diddy once suggested giving Cassie a very disturbing late Christmas gift, something he called a “freak-off.”
In court, it was explained that a “freak-off” meant a s*x party or long sexual encounter involving male escorts in hotel rooms. Witnesses said Diddy often arranged these events and that Cassie was pressured to take part in them. Many described these situations as being manipulative and controlling.
One message from Diddy read, “You horny,” to which Cassie replied, “Lol yeah.” Diddy then asked if she wanted to “celebrate Christmas and have a freak-off” that night or on Friday. These messages are now being used as evidence to show how Diddy behaved in private and how he may have used power and pressure in their relationship.
The jury also saw messages between Cassie and men believed to be escorts or people who ran escort services. In the texts, Cassie arranged for the men to arrive at a hotel at different times, possibly for the “freak-off” Diddy had suggested.
Diddy also told Cassie he had other Christmas gifts for her, but the court didn’t go into detail about what those were.
This is just one part of a much bigger case. Diddy is facing serious accusations, including sexual abuse, trafficking, and violence, from multiple people. Cassie herself sued Diddy in 2023, accusing him of abuse during their relationship. That case was settled quickly, but it helped lead to this bigger investigation.
