Diddy’s ongoing criminal trial is coming to a close and his son Christian “King” Combs released Never Stop on Friday, a new EP with Kanye West that includes a song called “Diddy Free” via The Hollywood Reporter.
“Diddy Free” opens with the line, “n***as ain’t going to sleep till we see Diddy free.”
“When shit gets sus, they try to play the victim,” King Combs rapped on the track, later rapping, “f*ck the world, critics and the witness. Face clean, they tryna dirt the image.”
West’s daughter, North West, is also listed as a featured artist on the EP’s opening track, “Lonely Roads.” Never Stop dropped just before Combs’ legal team gave closing arguments Friday morning, where lead attorney Marc Agnifilo blasted the proceedings as a “fake trial.”
West has spent much of 2025 generating controversy with hateful comments on social media. He has previously expressed his support for Diddy and made a brief appearance at the trial in New York earlier this month.
Combs faces serious allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering, and if convicted, he could face life in prison. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. After more than a month of testimony and evidence, Combs chose not to testify in his trial earlier this week. On Thursday, federal prosecutors delivered their four-and-a-half-hour closing arguments, urging the jury to convict Combs and labeling him “the leader of a criminal enterprise.”
“All of this evidence paints a clear picture of how the defendant committed crimes,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik said Thursday. Up until today, he was able to get away with it because of his money, his power (and) his influence. That stops now. It’s time for justice. It’s time to find the defendant guilty.”
