New audio has come out from Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial. It includes a recording of singer Cassie Ventura threatening to kill a man over a private video.
The tape was used as evidence last month. In it, Cassie is heard yelling at a man who she says had a copy of a video from one of Diddy’s wild sex parties. These parties were known as “freak-offs” and were said to include drugs and prostitutes. Cassie told the court that Diddy told her not to let the man out of her sight.
In the recording, Cassie said things like “I’m going to kill you” and “I don’t care, I’ve never killed anyone but I will kill you.” She also said she would cut the man up and hide him, and added “Diddy’s gonna kill you too.”
Cassie admitted she made the recording herself and was acting on what Diddy told her to do. But she also said she was not able to make the man show her the video.
Diddy’s lawyers used the audio in court to try to prove that Cassie took part in the sex parties on her own and was not forced or abused.
Another recording was played in court last week. This one was a voice message from Diddy to a different ex-girlfriend. In it, he said “You are the crack pipe. Should I call you CP?”
Another woman who dated Diddy also spoke in court. She said he liked watching other men with women and might be bisexual but too ashamed to act on it.
The trial has been full of surprises. Rapper Kanye West showed up in court without warning. A juror had to leave because of vertigo. The judge also got angry after someone leaked private court information. He said someone was lying about what happened behind closed doors.
