After raids on his homes in Los Angeles and Miami, authorities took a lot of items from Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. This was part of a federal sex trafficking investigation that later led to several charges against him. His trial has been going on for weeks and is expected to wrap up with closing arguments soon. The jury will then decide his fate. While experts say a “not guilty” verdict is unlikely, there’s still a chance he could be cleared.

A lawyer named Brian Stewart explained that Diddy might not get his confiscated stuff back. Things taken during federal raids  whether they’re guns, electronics, or even personal items like lube and baby oil  are kept in secure government storage.

During the trial, prosecutors showed off some of what was seized, including over 1,000 bottles of lube and baby oil, multiple guns (like AR-15 style rifles and a Glock pistol), and even a weapon with a scratched-off serial number. Some things, like high heels and sex toys, are perfectly legal, but anything tied to alleged crimes or labeled as contraband might never be returned.

If Diddy is found not guilty, his lawyers can try to get these items back by filing a motion, but it’s not guaranteed. The government can keep or destroy property if it’s linked to criminal activity, even if the item itself isn’t illegal.

Diddy is facing five charges across three federal cases, including sex trafficking and racketeering. He’s pleaded not guilty and denies all wrongdoing. The trial started on May 12, with the prosecution calling witnesses like Cassie Ventura early on. The defense didn’t call any witnesses, not even Diddy himself. Closing statements are wrapping up, with jury deliberations expected to begin around June 30.
